We went to our plum trees yesterday in the hopes of finding enough plums to make a clafoutis to take on our trip to the forest (after which A got a tick on her eyelid of all places, horrid little creatures they are). It turns out there were a lot more plums than we thought and we had enough to make a few pots of jam. This time I followed the advice of my mother in law (coucou Françoise!), used half the amount of sugar as I usually do and added some agar agar. I’m so happy with how it turned out, it’s just the right consistency and I can taste the fruit rather than just sugar, not to mention it’s obviously better for us. And yes, those are more tomatoes piling up in the background, I’ll be seeing to them this weekend.
