Summer Flowers

I lost a lot of flower seedlings to slugs, cats, children and even I pulled up a few thinking they were weeds this spring.  Ah well, there is always next year and I appreciated the few we had all the more.  We also had a lot of wildflowers appear here in early summer, poppys, marguerites and foxgloves, and I think these are the most beautiful of all.  M enjoyed snacking on the borage and she’s collecting the seeds from the sunflowers now for the birds, such a sweet one she is.  Last year we had a lot of goldfinches come to enjoy them and she seems to remember that.
